Polikarpov I-153
Guess what I made this for. Thats right! Another challenge that I missed the deadline of! Anyway, heres your daily dose of russian bias!
History
The polikarpov I-153 “Chaika” (seagull) was designed as later version of the I-15 but with retractable landing gear in the 1930s. It was developed from the rather backwards idea that biplanes were still relevant after the Spanish civil war. 4 improved rifle caliber machine guns were fitted that could fire up to 1,800rpm
The I-153 saw combat in:
the Soviet-Japanese wars in Mongolia
and
WWII.
Eventually after several attempted improvements, the Russians realized that the biplane type aircraft had reached its developmental limits.
3 examples exist in flying condition.
Controls
All normal controls.
RECCOMEND USING MOUSE AIM CONTROL!
Notes
Has a slight roll coupling issue?? That’s why I reccomend using mouse aim.
This aircraft is 100% scale (as much as possible).

Hmm... @AnoniMosu. Mebbe.
yes, but you made them with a bit too much part count @getorge
@AnoniMosu did you say "biplane"!?
Awesome job!!
Nice, straightforward build with some interesting detailing. Flies nicely, too.
@Hamad380 you forgot PBY-5a, I can farm that thing by destroying bases with 4000lbs worth of bombs and reloading it to destroy the main airfield
Sweet beans
Try make the F11C Goshawk or some other American biplanes. don't see much of those.
Wonderful
