VZ-801, callsign Butcher, is the leader of the 2nd Experimental Fighter Squadron. Butcher is the product of a joint program between ATLAS and Günther and Häwke, to produce a highly effective autonomous AI. This program aimed at creating an AI capable of operating autonomously and respond and execute commands, similar to human pilots. VZ-801 is the first of such machines. All aircraft designed for these aircraft have their own generated personalities, Butcher was found to have great leadership qualities and was assigned as the leader of the 2nd Experimental Fighter Squadron. All aircraft from this program can be self destructed in the event the AI begins to behave erratically.
