Brief introduction :

The F-5E Tiger II became the first supersonic aircraft used by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and began service in 1975 with the delivery of 14 F-5E aircraft and 2 F-5B aircraft (the 2-seat version of the F-5A aircraft equipped with an oil tank at the end of the wing). The F-5B aircraft was then transferred to the Royal Thai Air Force in 1982 when the RMAF received 4 F-5F aircraft. These aircraft replaced the F-86 Avon Saber aircraft that served since 1969 in the air defense role (the result of the contribution of the Royal Air Force Australia)
