Tupolev Tu-334

For the Airliner Challenge. (I hope I'm not too late!)
I'm gonna keep this description short and sweet (er)

RCP Airways livery

Nose: SimpleplanesJP11's Tu-204
Engines: IdnManufacturer's An-148
I made the rest!

A few words

So yeah, this is officially my first replica, built from scratch with only a nose and engines, and I think I did quite well this time!
Before the challenge, I'd wanted to make this as there isn't actually a Tu-334 on this site (the only one was made 7 years ago, before the age of the fuselage block). I mean I didn't even know about this until my friend showed it to me. I totally forgot about it after, until I realised I could make this for the challenge.
Anyway, I went through a lot making this. Go have some fun with it!

The nose wheel's shifted forward to improve stability, but the change won't be very obvious when you fly it

DISCLAIMER: never landed it before (but it takes off and flies ok)

Instructions

are in-game.

About the Tu-334

The Tu-334 was a short/medium-haul airliner developed in 1989 as a replacement for the ageing Tu-134 and Yak-42s. Much of the Tu-204's design was recycled for this aircraft, which is why the front of the plane looks exactly like a 204. This combination of a short and wide fuselage made the plane look.. well, quite awkward.

The plane used Ukrainian Lotarev D-436T engines, the same ones used on the An-72 and An-148.

Development started in 1990, but due to many delays the plane only flew on 8 February 1999. The plane only got certified 4 years later.

In the 2000s, even though about 100 airlines showed interest in buying the Tu-334, development was minimal.

The only 2 prototypes that were built, RA-94001 and RA-94005, were showcased during the 2007 MAKS Airshow in Russia.

In 2009, after Tupolev merged with the other Russian aircraft manufacturers to form the United Aircraft Corporation, Tupolev decided to end the Tu-334 program, in favour of other aircraft projects such as the Sukhoi Superjet 100, An-148 and MC-21.
