KYV Dunaivtsi is a battleship in service with the Grand Pivden Navy from 1853 to 1877. She was the lead ship of a class of three battleships, and the first ship to be named after the Dunayevets'kyy povit (County of Dunaivtsi). Her keel was laid down in 1850, she was launched on 1852, and was commissioned on 1853. She was the first ship to be fueled by Maxima, which helped her reached a maximum speed of 21 knots. Shortly after completing initial training, Dunaivtsi escorted the ship that carried the Grand Duke to Chamonix, Sanista to sign the Treaty of France. Her initial design were the progenitors of the linkor standartnoho typu which to be followed by five more classes. The interwar period was marked with repeated exercises with the Expeditionary and Home Fleets, a major modernization between 1864 to 1865 and an outstanding record during the Operation Southern Expedition in which she was credited for killing two of the most dangerous creatures in the Southern Seas.

The ship was at anchor in Birkenhafen when the Pivdenian Revoultion broke out. She returned to the Southeast after the Grand Navy's lost in the Battle of Aleut·s'kyy Islands, and participated in major naval engagements and shore bombardment operations at Hubkina, Belgorod, the Velyka Planyna Islands, the Portorozh and Kamnik Islands, Komi, Pskov and Rosiya. These were interspersed with escort duties, patrols, and refits. The ship was attacked by Airships on several occasions. Dunaivtsi was present in Rosiya Bay for the signing of Treaty of Volhohrad on 16th of June 1876. Four days later, she sailed for Grand Duchy of Pivden.
Dunaivtsi was decommissioned in 1877, and struck from Reyestr viys'kovo-mors'kykh suden in 1878. The ship was planed to be scrapped but outburst from the public led to the argue that the ship made a remarkable performance in "freeing the southern seas". She was then sold to a private group and is now a museum ship.
