The Wasp Super Maneuverable Experimental (Wasp SMX) is a research aircraft for the Simple Planes Navy in order to understand how advanced control surfaces affect flight performance.

It includes a pair of canards ad the front from another Wasp and a pair of thrust vectoring engines. The Wasp SMX can achieve higher angles of attack, slower stall speeds, and shorter take offs and landing thanks to its modifications.

The SP Navy hopes to use the data gained to develop more advanced fighters in the future to counter the ever growing air threats.

Armed with Air- to Air missiles and an External Fuel Tank

These Modifications were based on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 STOL/MTD used to research advanced flight.

The controls are that of a Normal Wasp with the exception that

-Super Maneuverability (Except you probably knew that)

-Action Group 8 Turns OFF Thrust Vectoring Not Engine Power
