classic SAC

history

After ww2 the Strategic Air Command (SAC) was looking for high speed, long range bomber aircraft, capable of carrying at least one nuclear weapon, and this was the result of the Tompkins aeronautics company's entry. The high speed bomber was one of the best entrys and was given a contract for 100 units. With a top speed of over 500mph, a max cruise speed of over 400mph at 50% throttle, and with a service ceiling of over 30k ft, it was one of the best in the SAC arsenal.

controls

Normal flight controls
VTOL down- flaps
Ag1- bomb bay
Ag2- turns pilot and co pilot seats around for easy outing after landing
Ag3- activate turret and rear gun, disables control surfaces, flaps still work
Ag4- drop Nuke (recommend at least 15k ft, and make sure to turn away after you drop it, is a tad inaccurate)

Builders note: this was a very challenging yet fun aircraft to make, I love how it turned out, the interior is a bit bare but it is there. The nuke is pretty powerful, anywhere it hits on the yeager airport it'll destroy the adjacent bridge, and as you can see in the picture above, a nice plume of smoke, this one happens only if it hits in the grass, if it hits the runway it's a bit smaller. This thing has amazing flaps, landings can happen at very low speeds for such a large aircraft. The stuff about its top speed is seriously true, the engines are so powerful. Enjoy!
