Flag of North Korea
This is the flag of the small, poor, and communist nation of North Korea. The flag of North Korea was designed in 1948, after it was freed from the Soviet Union after World War II. The white represents the purity of North Korean ideas. The red star is a classic symbol of communism. It represents the happy prospects of the Korean Worker's Party leadership. The white disk that the star sits upon is said to be a reminiscent of a Korean Taeguk, the symbol of the universe. The red color symbolizes the revolutionary spirit of North Korea and it's path toward Socialism. Finally, the blue represents North Korea's commitment to peace and friendship. The nation of North Korea, while being small, employs more manpower than the entire Egyptian armed forces and the amount of people their armed forces employ is closer to the amount employed by the Russian armed forces.
