F-16 Fighting Falcon
WIKI
The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multi-purpose, single-engine, highly maneuverable jet fighter, capable of operating in all weather and light conditions. Originally designed and developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force, starting from an experimental concept (LWF) for a short-range daytime interceptor, complementary to the powerful and sophisticated F-15 Eagle air superiority. It gradually evolved into the role of a high-performance fighter-bomber, capable of operating in all weather conditions, day and night.
On July 21, 1980, at a ceremony held at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, he was finally and officially dubbed "Fighting Falcon".
