built by the recently established Welser airospace company in austria as a competitor against several new almostlight airframes, the most notable being Taikav's T - 16 sabretooth, the W.30 pondskater was built with a focus on being lightweight, easy to fly and above all, manuverable, being capable of performing a 180 degree turn in mere seconds. while more maneuverable and easier to fly than the sabertooth, it lacks behind in durability and range. to better reflect its name, Welser are also working on a floatplane conversion kit. BUILDERS NOTE: this takes of at around 92 mph, and pitches up slightly as i removed the propeller weight to reach below the 1.500 pounds limit. do please enjoy this almostlight challenge entry.
