i think red is the favor colour for the empire ;) Green is a choice for the rebels or a jedi lightsaber ;) this one is not a real model of star wars, only a fictional / experimental build.
BTW they used green lasers not red... if you say "its fictional" i will say all of their fighters used green lasers.
