Version 3.1 of ossie112's X-15. This is even more of a replica. The X-15 was the predecessor to manned space flight for the United States Air Force and NASA. With a service cieling of 67 miles (108 kilometers), it was specifically designed to test the pressure suits and rocket motor concepts that would eventually be used on the Mercury Space Capsule. The X15 is the fastest manned aircraft ever built, and still holds the record for the fastest speed achieved by any airplane to date.
