C-330 Ultra-Hercules (Fictional)

An extreme STOL aircraft.

Max speed: About 458mph.
Stall speed About 78mph.

A 2018 initiative sought out new lower-cost ways of employing the tilt-rotor design created for the V-280 Valor. The C-130 Hercules was chosen as a test bed. The result was the C-330 Ultra-Hercules.

The new plane operated 8 engines and unprecedented STOL characteristics. Capable of landing on USS Tiny (and Midway-class assault carriers) without the use of a tailhook, and taking off again without the need for a catapult.

VTOL for the (extensive) flaps and control of engine tilt.

ACT 1: engages/diesengages engine tilt for STOL
ACT 2: engages/diesengages outer 4 engines for increased speed. Zeroes on disable.
