M1118 Commando
The M1118 Commando is a Paternian armored car designed by Bandit Defense Corporation, as an improvment to the successful M1115 series. Most visibly distinctive is the revised frontal armor, improving its ballistic qualities slightly while vastly improving visibility for the driver. In addition, the engine compartment has been revised to accommodate for a larger engine. The vehicle also received upgraded suspension, improving ride quality and traversing capability signifiantly over the M1115. The M1118 is offered as both an upgrade kit to M1115 and as complete vehicles. This particular exmaple is an M1115 upgraded to the new M1118 standard, in service with the Paternian Marine Corps during Operation Endgame. The large markings on the sides and upper plate were painted after several friendly-fire incidents, as the vehicle loosely resembled the Soviet BRDM-2. Coincidentially, Soviet forces often enlarged their identifying markings for the same reasons.
