Toy Helicopter
Warning: Slightly hard to take-off and almost impossible to land (in one piece)
Instructions:
- Throttle up to 70-75%
- Gently pitch up at the same time push VTOL Slider up after take-off
- Keep the Heli level (this takes practice!)
- Gain Speed to stabilize the heli (around 80-100 mph)
- Throttle up to gain altitude, throttle down to lose some.
- Throttle down if your nose is rising too much, throttle up if it is falling down. With VTOL slider fully deflected up you can cruise the islands at 68-73% throttle
- to turn the helicopter, slightly roll to one side then slightly increase throttle
to keep the nose from falling down. just return it to its original position after
- Yaw is only useful when turning while hovering (this heli can hover (for a short
time) though it takes some practice)
This Heli can loose altitude fast if you are not careful.
This is my first Helicopter and I'm still looking for better ways to make this thing
fly (it doesn't hover well)
there is a cockpit view but it is actually just a sad excuse to add more dead-weight
blocks to keep the CoM in check, lol.
