Simple A-400m
Simple Airbus A400m Atlas
So, I tried my best to stay true as much as possible to the real A400, when it comes down to dimensions, shapes, weight, wing-surface and engine power, which really isn't easy to do in the standard SimplePlanes editor because of the limited shape options. Hence why this A400 doesn't have cockpit windows or a cargo bay. I just couldn't do it while making it look good. (Tips are always welcome!)
But what I focussed on mostly was the flight model. I've seen the A400 countless times in real life and for this plane I even looked at a lot of YouTube videos just to get a general "feel" of the aircraft's performance and handling. And I think with this Simpleplanes Airbus A400 I got it pretty close. The A400 is a massive flying machine, but regardless of it's size, it manoeuvres like a graceful eagle. So does this replica.
Otherwise, it's really simple. Not many functions to go through.
- Activate 6: Formation Lights
- Activate 7: Landing Lights
- Activate 8: All other lights
- Flaps (required for a soft landing): VTOL
- The aircraft does have elevator trim, which I definitely recommend for autopilot use as the SimplePlanes autopilot always makes planes drop in altitude. Same with this Replica. Also very helpful with descend and take-off.
Feel free to grab it and edit it to make it look better and to re-upload it. Just tag me in it, I'd love to see!
