The Pillán was designed by Piper Aircraft in the United States as prototype for the Chilean military trainer ENAER T-35. Two planes were built in 1981 and transfered to Chile. Chilean based manufacturer ENAER produced more than 150 Pilláns. Many of them were exported to Spain and several Latin American countries.
