The McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II is a jet-powered, VTOL, multirole aircraft based upon the Hawker Siddeley AV-8A Harrier. The AV-8B was developed for the U.S. Marines and exported to Britain. The AV-8B's mission profiles include close air support and armed reconnaissance.
