Junkers Ju 87 'Stuka'
The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") was a two-man (pilot and rear gunner) German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. The aircraft was easily recognisable by its inverted gull wings and fixed spatted undercarriage, upon the leading edges of its faired maingear legs were mounted the Jericho-Trompete ("Jericho Trumpet") wailing sirens, becoming the propaganda symbol of German air power and the Blitzkrieg victories of 1939–1942.
The Stuka's design included several innovative features, including automatic pull-up dive brakes under both wings to ensure that the aircraft recovered from its attack dive even if the pilot blacked out from the high acceleration.
I'm on a WWII binge so I made this fun little plane as it is one of my favorite axis aircraft. Although I couldn't replicate the iconic sound of the stuka, this replica is a good flyer that is only slighty nose tippy once the bombs have been deployed. It has three dumb bombs (detachments 1-3) and static landing gear.
Can you take off, locate and score three hits on the enemy aircraft carrier, and safely return to base? Test your dive-bombing skills with the Stuka!

305 Masonite111They are so difficult... I could use getting a North American XB-70 into flying condition if anyone is willing to help. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/cfaI74/North-American-XB-709.9 years ago

0 SweettenderBreastmeatI don't think people really realize the amount of work that goes I to recreating a real plane like this. Very impressive lift, control and precision aiming. Great ️Looking plane, once again9.9 years ago

0 OfficialFlameballThis one is so responsive! I love diving then turning back up! I have a request: Can you make the F-14 Tomcat or the A6 Intruder? I might make one, but I just joined, so I thought you would build way better. Also, I have downloaded your Stuka, the F-16, and the Sabre, so I know you are a great builder, with attention to detail.9.9 years ago

25.5k ScriefersI knew you'd find and like this one, WWIIEnthusiast. It's fun trying to bomb the ships, isn't it? I really want to do more prop planes, but the scale is kind of a deterrent. The propellers in the game are on the small side and you really gotta scale up when building to bring out identifiable details. But then again, the game is called simple planes haha.9.9 years ago

0 WWIIEnthusiastAnother great build. I was always wondering if you would do prop planes. Any more in the future?9.9 years ago
