FMA I.Ae. 37
Fábrica Militar de Aviones, Instituto Aerotécnico 37
Dedicado a la memoria de Jorge Conan Doyle / In the loving memory of Jorge Conan Doyle
Rework of Old Post of mine. This boy is an Argentine flying wing from 1953, designed by Reimar Horten (yes, the creator of the HO229) under the government of Juan Domingo Peron
History:
During the First Five-Year Plan in Argentina, the government of Juan Domingo Perón decides to give a huge impulse towards development of heavy and defense industries, and Argentine aeronautic industry consequently.
Under this political sponsorship, IAME (Industrias Aeronáuticas y Mecánicas del Estado) started to build with local raw materials fuselages and undertake manufacture of aerial engines, putting Argentina at the vanguard of Latin-American aviation industry.
Likewise, the 1950 decade contemplated a series of wide technical advances on the aeronautical field with Argentina starting in 1946 the development of jet fighter I.Ae 27 Pulqui I and in the beginning of 1947 the swept wings reactor I.Ae. 33 Pulqui II.
But with the US achieving supersonic flight, there was a need for a national aircraft capable of such performance and capable of air combat… And that’s when Reimar Horten came in…
Features:
• Interactive Cockpit
• Gyroscope
• Ammo Counter (the gauge with a label)
• Prone Pilot Position
• Hispano cannons harmonized
Controls:
• AG4: gyro
Technical data:
Power: IRL 16,02kN , to match performance in-game 90000kN
Maximum Speed: around 800 kph between 8000 mts high and the service ceiling... its meant to be realistic for a 1950 prototype
Landing speed: 100-110 kph
Service Ceiling: 11.000 mts
Range: 2000 km
Empty Weight: 3300 kgs
Loaded Weight: 4702 kgs
Weapons: x2 Hispano-Suiza 20mm autocannons with explosive rounds
Issues and future plans:
I found issues regarding maneuvers when pitching and rolling, like some sort of lag. Due to my lack of experience any advise to solve it is welcomed.
At the same time I am planing to build the 1960 upgraded version of this aircraft among other argentine designs, all indigenous fighters that werent put into service due to the turning tides or argentine economics

@KfcGaming it’s an Argentinian flying wing interceptor, at last that was the original idea. In the end it was suposed to become a transonic trainer, here there is a newspaper note but is in Spanish

One Of The Earliest Planes I Ever Downloaded In SimplePlanes, Finally I Found It
@Foxxo thanks for the upvote! Actually it is very probably that ill reupload it with some stuff that wasnt enought polished and the post proper with more love! Also I will use this message to anounce that the 1960 version of this plane is in development!!
Nice build, Needs more attention than it already had though
@WojakArgento it was around 160 mph
@WojakArgento
When pitching and rolling at the same time, it's not a lag or anything, it's just because of roll input cancel out pitch input on one side so the result is just one control surface deflecting which is not ideal for an intended pitching + rolling motion. (You can try this with paper airplane)
Just try to edit the proportion of pitch and roll so it'll not cancel each other out like this.
@KfcGaming ohh I see. Do you remember around which was your speed? I’m gonna fly it and add it as a warning
Stalled when I tried to land
Holy s* what the ** is this
@WojakArgento like this ![Screenshot-20211226-183710-Simple-Planes.jpg](https://i.postimg.cc/rsB1jzQt/Screenshot-20211226-183710-Simple-Planes.jpg) and i recommend this website https://postimages.org
@simpleplayer1 thank you for both the upvote, but can I ask you how to put pics in description?
@GuyFolk can I ask you to test this aircraft? BTW i uploaded the Bullshark with the changes you suugested, even there is something else being cooked!
Its just the first screen shot need to a pic of thw plane you can still put the pic if the rl plane in the description
@WojakArgento no its a good plane
@simpleplayer1 I know, now i kinda feel dissapointed because i have been working for months in collecting data, building and testing, and now has been ruined because i did not take screenshots
@WojakArgento its ok i was just telling you so you dont have any problems with your future builds
@simpleplayer1 my sincere apologies I forgot to take more screenshots
You have to put the actual aircraft you bulit not a pic of the rl one
