This series of Aircraft were the final design of the Pre-war Aviation Company Oculus. Already outdated when pressed into wartime service, they were slow and poorly suited for the roles assigned to them. Cheap and easy to maintain, they were liked by Air and Maintenance crews. A program of upgrades continued throughout the war, ending with the 6A. Better engines and Turbo-superchargers improved overall speed and flying ability. Post-war survivors are highly prized by their owners.
