Designied in the late 1930's as an advanced trainer, the AT-8 served the United States Army Air Force extensively in both high-level training and as a dogfight simulation aircraft. Built with a 1000hp Wright Cyclone 9 engine, the AT-8 has ample power for a fighter aircraft, making it one of the most powerful singe-engine trainers of the war.
