Firestorm Mk II - WWII Fighter by WhoTookCarter

This single-seat World War II-era fighter plane is powered by a single 116 in. propeller and carries an armament of both bombs and rockets as well as four integrated wing guns. It also features a fully interactable VR cockpit custom and landing gear sequenced to fold away neatly and realistically.

For this build I omitted using funky trees excessively with flight controls because I wanted to emulate a more era-appropriate flying experience. Therefore you might find it somewhat harder to fly than some of my other builds, as pilot experience is the most important factor in how well it performs; in other words, skill issue.

Mk II Update: now features a sophisticated gun sight that superimposes an aiming reticle over the pilot's field of view (much like a reflector sight). The default mode is appropriate for normal gameplay on a computer screen, but for VR, there is a stereoscopic mode that effectively shows the reticle twice to trick the player's eyes into perceiving one reticle infinitely far away. You can tell that you are seeing stereoscopic mode correctly when you are focused on the middle of three visible reticles. Also slightly moved some cockpit controls.

Controls:

Standard pitch, roll, yaw, throttle, brakes, and trim. VTOL down for flaps. VR-ready.

Control groups:
1 - Canopy
2 - Toggle sight mode (default/stereoscopic)
5 - Disarm (for formation flying and safe jettison)
6 - Jettison
