Detail of RATO boosters

1:1 Historically Acurate Yokosuka D4Y-4 Suisei (Comet), it's allied reporting name was "Judy". A Japanese WW2 dive bomber, reconnaissance aircraft and suicide bomber.

|| READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ||

The D4Y was one of the fastest dive bombers of the war and only the delays in its development hindered its service while its predecessor, the slower fixed-gear Aichi D3A, remained in service much longer than intended. Despite limited use, the speed and the range of the D4Y were nevertheless valuable, and the type was used with success as reconnaissance aircraft as well as for kamikaze missions.

This version of the D4Y was the final version to see action in the war, single-seated, armed with two 7.7mm forward firing machine guns, a bomb capacity up to 1800lb, excellent manieuverability, speed and range. This version was equipped with RATO boosters (replicated as well) to be used during carrier takeoff or to give the final impulse in tokkotai missions.

This aircraft is painted with the schemes of the Kougeki (Attack) 1st Hikotai of the 601st Kokutai.

|| Instructions ||

  • Press 1 to activate the RATO boosters.
  • Press 2 to activate the navigation lights.
  • VTOL bar controls the flaps (50% down for takeoff, 100% down for landing).
  • Press F5 to view through the scope.

  • Takeoff manieuvre: Slide the VTOL bar to the second mark down (50%), press 1 to activate the RATO, full throttle. The plane will takeoff at 140mph.

  • Takeoff in Aircraft carrier: Same as ground takeoff, but you must use the elevator to perform a quick takeoff. You can do it too from the US Tiny!

I hope you like it!!! Happy bombing! Tenno Heika Banzai!!!

    И хочу посоветовать вам делать крылья из фюзеляжей, и делать характерный наклон крыла, в остальном, все ваши постройки очень хороши!
