Bandit P-6 Electra

(1-4) ditches ordnance.

The P-6 Electra is a Paternian maritime patrol aircraft designed and manufactured by Bandit Aviation (now Bandit Aerospace) based on the modestly successful 288-series airliner. The 228 isn't a bad plane. It's a reliable platform with good fuel economy and short-field performance, and a few still ply remote areas as an air freighter. However, it is better known as the basis of the P-6 Electra maritime patrol aircraft. Introduced in 1961, the type remained in active service as far as 2025, when it was fully replaced by the P-9 Poseidon, derived from the KRIEG 131 airliner.

A machine with reliable service for over 50 years, it formed part of the Paternian Navy's defense against submarine threats. Equipped with sonobuoys and magnetic sensors to detect submarines, and armed with missiles, depth charges, and torpedoes to knock out submarines, their presence is unwelcome to any submariner on the wrong side. And if it must engage surface ships, then it has plenty of ordnance which can do so.
