My first in a long line of Star Wars replicas. This plane has to run off the edge of the cliff but it flys quite well and is a bit touchy on the pitch. For higher altitudes you have to asend VERY slowly or it will run out of speed. [To Fly: Slide the VTOL down and wait for the struts to go up then full throttle]

3,141 Nightraider@Zing2000 Thank you sooooo much for telling me this I have been wondering how to for ages this really helps out Thank you9.6 years ago

7,262 Zing2000@Nightraider There are three ways to part clip 1: the method where you put a part in a position where it turns red and makes a "Brrhh" noise, what you then do is load the level and then exit asap, you then connect a piece to the bottom or top or sides of the red part(which is now normal colour) connecting it to the main structure, this will hold the part in plane, you have now clipped a part(I used to use this method) 2: do the same as 1 but do not load level what you do instead is rotate it to the way you want or rotate in a full circle putting it back to how you had it, it has to be connected to a viable place just that another part has blocked it but not connected to it (the method I use as it is the most simple) 3: the most advance way to part clip, what you do is build what you want to place on a rig that when you rotate a single block it will spin the whole thing into where you want it, but to get it to stick you have to take a part or two out from the structure that you want to spin into postiton and place a block on the place where you want it connected in line with where the hole in the structure is so that when you rotate the structure it will connect holding it in place(I have experimented with this method a bit but it is hard to to, takes a lot of work but is definatly the most usefull as it allows whole feusalages to be placed where it shouldn't be9.6 years ago

Mod TheLatentImage@Zing2000 Well, what are the parameters? Strictly sci-fi or will any genre do? Also, come check out my Warbird if you care to, and let me know what you think. I'd like to get some experienced builders to critique it and give me any suggestions or recommendations. I'm a new guy here, I've got a lot to learn...9.7 years ago

Mod TheLatentImage@Zing2000 I may toy around with it a little if I get some free time today. I'll let you know if I am able to make any progress in that respect. Keep up the good work buddy.9.7 years ago
-
7,262 Zing2000@TheLatentImage I thought about that and decided I wanted it to be self sufficient but if you can get it to work feel free to post also to get it to work you will have to move the vtol nozzles coz where the cot is atm it will make the plane do backflips... That is one of the reasons why I decided not to9.7 years ago

Mod TheLatentImage@Zing2000 have you considered using some kind of platform with detachers and some extra engines for VTOL? I'm not sure if you're trying to keep it all self contained or not. I've got a couple of designs that utilize that, allowing for unrestricted fuel and thrust without modified pieces. If you're interested in checking those out. I'm sure it's not a new idea, but it worked pretty well for me.9.7 years ago

7,262 Zing2000@Wakescar @TheLatentImage thanks you guys this took me ages to get right. I tried giving it vtol but it needed more engines and would screw up the com and stuff so It never worked. The retractable gear is just for looks at the moment9.7 years ago
