ACAW Mako VTOL Jump jet
My first attempt at a VTOL jet, tell me what I could do better next time.
1979. Ships are being overtaken by pirates by the dozen. Without air support, the ships become sitting ducks without a carrier close by. The Mako was created to bring a fighter escort to any ship with a flat surface. Although the build quality was fine, the FE-sourced 1V-J VTOL units had questionable reliability. Outfitted with dual 20mm Gatling guns, it made quick work of any ground competition, but other aircraft trumped it easily.
