Framewobbler Passenger Variant D7-Quad VTOL
An unlicensed passenger variant of Frame’s Framewobbler VTOL Craft. I grafted one of Frame’s passenger cabins onto the wobbler body, increased the engine power for a higher top-end cruising speed, stripped off some of the aesthetic parts, added a few features such as countermeasures, smaller speed-reducing drogue airbrakes, and stabilizing wingtips. Main functions remain the same; AG1,2 are lights, AG3 activates VTOL controls, AG4 activates VTOL airbrakes, and AG7 activates the doors. 36% thrust for a gentle VTOL lift-off. Top Speed is above 500, cruise at 50% power at around 350. I managed to improve the stability issues, so it doesn’t wobble much anymore. Now it flies nearly dead straight and level with very little trim or flaps. It does have a tendency to destabilize if autopilot is engaged while heavily trimmed out. Overall, I tried to balance it out as best I could without drastically altering the original aesthetics and function. Personally, I think it’s a damn pretty plane. All credit due to the original builder. All I really did was modify it a bit.
