Light Coaxial Helicopter

START-UP: Throttle up and engage the engine with the #1 activator. The collective pitch is controlled with the VTOL slider to move it down slowly and you'll gently hover above the runway. From there, just ease forward a bit to gain airspeed and you're good to do. The helicopter is balanced both forward and aft, so forward pitch is required for flight. It can cruise at about 55-58 MPH and will auto at around 45-50 MPH.

DESCRIPTION: This is the predecessor to my larger Float Coaxial Helicopter. It's only equipped with one engine and the fuel reserves are smaller than it's larger brother. It is much much more maneuverable though, and can execute auto rotations easily, whether you want to have a 0/0 touchdown or run on landing, it can do both from low airspeed and/or altitudes.

CHALLENGE: Try to auto onto the carrier. It's much easier than with the larger helicopter but you don't have floats in case you miss.

CAUTION: Fuel reserves are lower so keep an eye out on that when cruising around. Since this helicopter utilizes RCN's to maintain positive control, if you run empty, you will lose control authority and be left to the will of the main rotor.
