Tank chasis with caterpillar
Caution!!!!!!!!
Very heavy build!!!!
High settings required!!!!!
Controls:
Throttle max then pitch/roll for control.
This is my new attempt to build tank chasis with realistic caterpillars. It took a lot of time for me (you can check my early posts date how long i am trying to make them). It still has some troubles, but in most part I reached good results.
Here some of upgrades:
New type of caterpillars. Old version exploded on speed about 30mph. On the stage of tests I used smaller version of new chassis and it survived on the speed over 120mph on flat surface.
Rebuilded way of holding caterpillars on wheels. Now they don’t fall from wheels even under extreme spins.
Added active independent suspension.
There is still a lot of work to do, but now I am happy to make great jump.
Next steps:
I have to increase line move speed. (It is slow because of game mechanics, but you can make it faster by adding some jet engines)
And I need to do something with caterpillar tension mechanism. Just it hasn’t be like this.
I hope you’ll enjoy!!
