[23K]F-15E Strike Eagle
I'm back with regular uploads ladies and gentlemen, LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle is a highly versatile, advanced, multi-role fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). It is a variant of the renowned F-15 Eagle, with a special emphasis on precision strike capabilities in addition to its established air superiority role. The F-15E was designed to carry out deep strike missions, air interdiction, and close air support, with the ability to deliver a wide array of ordnance while operating in both day and night conditions and in all weather.
Design and Development
The F-15E Strike Eagle’s development began in the late 1980s as a response to the need for an aircraft capable of performing air-to-ground missions while retaining the F-15's air-to-air capabilities. Initially conceived as a variant of the F-15C, the F-15E was built with an enlarged airframe, an extended fuselage, and a tandem two-seat cockpit to accommodate a pilot and a weapons systems officer (WSO). The crew setup is crucial for coordinating the complex nature of strike missions, where the pilot focuses on flying and air defense, while the WSO is responsible for targeting and managing weapons systems.
Unlike the original F-15, which was primarily an air superiority fighter, the F-15E incorporates a suite of advanced avionics, sensors, and weapons management systems tailored for precision strike operations. Its mission planning, target acquisition, and combat management systems have been significantly upgraded to ensure that it can conduct precision strikes against both stationary and moving targets in any environment, whether during the day or at night.
Performance and Capabilities
The F-15E has a similar performance profile to its predecessor, with a top speed exceeding Mach 2.5 and a range of over 2,400 miles (3,862 km) with external fuel tanks, making it highly capable for long-range missions. The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 engines, which provide more than enough thrust to carry heavy payloads while maintaining exceptional maneuverability. This gives the F-15E an excellent combat radius, allowing it to perform both strategic and tactical operations.
Its avionics suite is among the most advanced in the world, including a radar system with both air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities, along with an infrared targeting system, GPS/INS navigation, and a digital flight control system. One of the key components of the F-15E's avionics is the AN/APG-70 radar, a multi-mode radar that allows it to identify targets at long ranges and track multiple targets simultaneously.
Weaponry and Payload
The F-15E's ability to carry a diverse array of weapons is one of its standout features. It is equipped with multiple hardpoints under the wings and fuselage, allowing it to carry both air-to-air and air-to-ground ordnance. This includes precision-guided munitions such as Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), laser-guided bombs, and a variety of anti-ship and anti-radiation missiles. Additionally, it can carry a range of air-to-air missiles, including the AIM-7 Sparrow and the AIM-120 AMRAAM, for self-defense against enemy fighters during strike missions.
The aircraft also has an advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) suite, which provides the necessary protection against enemy radar and missile systems, ensuring that the F-15E can execute its mission even in hostile air defense environments. The weapons systems are integrated into the aircraft's cockpit displays, providing the pilot and WSO with a comprehensive and seamless interface to manage mission objectives.
Operational History
The F-15E was first introduced in 1988, and since then, it has played a significant role in numerous conflicts. It was used extensively during the Gulf War in 1991, where it proved its precision strike capabilities by conducting deep strikes into Iraq and Kuwait. The aircraft also participated in the Kosovo War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the war in Afghanistan, where its capability to deliver both conventional and precision-guided munitions allowed it to support ground forces and conduct strategic strikes.
In addition to its combat operations, the F-15E is often used for training missions, thanks to its versatility and the critical role it plays in providing close air support, suppression of enemy air defenses, and strategic strike capability. The Strike Eagle's integration with modern systems, such as Joint Tactical Information Distribution Systems (JTIDS) and advanced targeting pods, ensures that it remains an indispensable asset in a modern, networked battlefield.
Variants and Upgrades
While the F-15E is already an advanced platform, it has undergone several upgrades throughout its service life. Modernized versions of the F-15E include improvements to avionics, cockpit displays, radar systems, and weapons integration. Some of the most notable upgrades include the integration of the APG-63(V)3 AESA radar, which provides better tracking, increased range, and enhanced resistance to electronic countermeasures, and the Digital Electronic Warfare System (DEWS), which improves the aircraft's survivability against advanced threats.
The aircraft has also undergone upgrades to its cockpit, with the addition of larger multifunction displays, a helmet-mounted cueing system, and advanced data-links that enable it to operate in joint and coalition forces' environments. Additionally, ongoing upgrades have focused on its precision strike capabilities, such as better integration of GPS-guided munitions and new targeting pods.

"Release the EGALEMAN010"
@TheCommentaryGuy you will see next build
and BTW it's "Shorten"
@Eagleman101SP look at reference images and dont shortened the length of the gear?
@TheCommentaryGuy no
I'm talking about the landing gears
@Eagleman101SP use blueprints?
@TheCommentaryGuy uhhhhh
any suggestions?
@Eagleman101SP imma point out whats wrong with this build
- wrong placement of the rear landing gear (too far apart, the F-15's rear gears are closer together
- landing gears are scaled so badly that its an eyesore
- the bomb racks are not placed on the CFT like on the F-15E
- you made the CFT part of the body and instead of it being a separate part of the aircraft
- the canopy is so far behind
maybe dont say "might be a problem with your eyes" to a guy criticising your build
@Eagleman101SP
I might be crazy, but I'm so goddamn sure that there's a gap between the head, and the intakes
@TheRLAF looks fine to me
might be a problem with your eyes
There's just something...
