VR-100 Challenge
Honoring my friend @MrCOPTY, I am calling for this new challenge according to his input - You must build an airplane with a VR cockpit while maintaining a maximum part count of 100.
X-524-Lightening with VR cockpit, 69 parts
READ...before you join!
RULES:
1) Must be a successor (download this and start building on it)
2) Maximum is 100 parts (More than 100 will disqualify, but any lower part count is acceptable )
3) You must include a VR cockpit. Using minimal instruments is fine since the max part count is only 100.
4) It must be an aircraft (Jet/Prop/helicopters of both Civilian or Military)
6) Extra points for wise and creatively used parts
7) 3 Max entries (only the best one will count for the prize. But all of them may get upvotes if they are great)
Tips for the VR Cockpit: (MrCOPTY's input)
- Must Use Camera With CockpitCamera Activated
- Must have All The Basic Inputs (Like Flystick, Throttle, Brakes, Trim, VTOL & Gear Lever (Depends On Your Plane))
- Should Have All Activation Groups As Buttons/Switches, Basic Flight Instruments & They Should Work Correctly (Artificial Horizon, Airspeed, Altitude, Turn Coordinator, Vertical Speed & Compass), Also It Must Have Fuel Gauge & Trim/VTOL (If Plane Use These)
- Most importantly, the Pilot should be able to reach controls easily, Be Sure to Use VR tag as well.
No need
8) No weapons are needed, but you can add them if you like it
8) XML editing is encouraged, but no modding, please
9) You can still build and join with an Egg plane or memes, but I will NOT consider the prize, since those are not to my taste. Sorry.
10) If you build a fictional plane, match the look, maneuver, speed, weapons, and engines to the era you represent. I am so sensitive to that.
RATING SYSTEM
- Overall Looks and proportion - 20 pts.
- Aircraft livery and detail - 10 points
- Flight Performance - 10 pts.
- Takeoff and landing - 10 pts.
- Cool Factors for me - 10 pts (if I like something about your plane very much)
AWARDS
- The Top 3 players will get 10 upvotes + 3 spots
- (There is no first, second, and third)
- I may follow you if I am interested in your work. As I am ranked 6 on this site, I could spotlight almost all of you except if you are from those 5 seniors above me.
(I will be thrilled if one of you joins this)
EVERY DECENT BUILD WILL GET AN UPVOTE, and Notable ones will get a SPOT as soon you upload. I could not help if you become a winner, but you do not have enough planes in your collection to upvote.
ALL POSTS MUST BE A SUCCESSOR
I will not bother any plane which is not a successor. You can't claim the marathon prize while running in your backyard. dah!
DEADLINE; July 7th - midnight New York Time!
I am not calling for a free challenge, instead, I will post at least one example of my build for you all
Just do it, you got to be fast

@WinsWings do you have specific ones I should test out? I don’t think I can get to all 28
@V sorry but I mistakenly deleted them
@mrsilverwolf are you able to see deleted comments? My comments on this post mysteriously disappeared for some reason and I don't really know why
@Ashdenpaw1 Thanks, you can test and give feedback to me if you want. I got to judge them not only on VR, but mainly on the build quality, proportions, and how they handle. I appreciate your help
Should I run the ones you pick as best on my Quest 3? I could do so if you want and rank them unless you have a vr already
This post itself doesn't have a VR capability - but as a small error, it was "Curated." Sorry for my mistake in adding the "VR" tag. After all, I don't think it is a big issue.
Have fun,
This challenge is CLOSED
I am evaluating the builds and will post the prizes in one week (or as soon as possible).
Thank you all for joining.
