Thanks to @TheUltimatePlaneLover for this :D
@KPLBall Aighty then :D
@TheUltimatePlaneLover ye
@KPLBall
I think I got your friend request, unless it's someone else
The name goji2002inaf3f yours?
@KPLBall Ah that explains it
Typhoon is a funny one, probably my fastest plane lol
@KPLBall Sure. I got time
@Christiant2 need variants of these
@TheUltimatePlaneLover also yes Hurricanes are strong so is Typhoon (I swear anytime I shoot them with my P-47 they just shrug it off and hunt bombers, it takes me like 5 min to kill them, prob because they are SO THIN I over pen, yes they are very VERY thin)
@TheUltimatePlaneLover not the 150 hit
50 though like 25 were in One elevator, 8 in my left wing, 7 in my right wing, 2 in my canopy, 6 in my engine, and 2 in my other elevator 100 of those "150 hits" were Russian MGs in similar spots to the cannon rounds
@KPLBall
Also gonna add, the Hurricane is fairly durable too. The Typhoon is just a lil' bit but not as much as the Hurricane Trop. (the very first Hurricane you can get, which leads to the Typhoon and eventually my end goal- Vampire). I swear, as long as your engine, cockpit, or elevators isn't hit, that Hurricane can survive just about anything.
Aaaaaaaaand last but not least, I have one word to counterpoint most Spitfire pilots;
Zero.
My A6M has nearly never been defeated by Spitfires, the only occasions being the obvious team-and-jump
@KPLBall
Eh, as a pilot (of one myself), I'm gonna say this;
The Spitfire is good, but it's not the best. Bro is capping about the 150 20mm hits, my Spitfire gets eaten by one (sometimes it's not even the 20mm and I still get one-shotted, often by Pilot Knocked Out, hate that feature so much yet I have to admit I have numerous wins thanks to it). The Spitfire actually can outturn any Russian plane, but only in the rare case that you get a fully fair, no jumpscare 1v1. If he jumps you or his ally comes, you're cooked- both figuratively and literally, since the Spitfire just so happens to spit its own fire when it gets hit (I swear, the Spitfire is more flammable than the P-39/P-400)
Also that's fair, I've still taken out a few P-40E-1s, but most of time I see people in P-40F-10s, so that helps. I actually might grind for the P-40E-1 after I finish researching the A-36 (I took a short break from the Vampire grind, but I'm still RPing the Tier III Typhoon, sorta going back n' forth)
@TheUltimatePlaneLover also it's always the P-40E-1 that tanks. Not the F-10
@TheUltimatePlaneLover thanks
Also I said to some idiot that said Spits are the best saying "Can a spit withstand 50 Russian 20mil rounds?" Because I took like 150 hits from a YaK-9T, and he said "A spit can outturn any Russian plane" and I said "What about a YaK-9T, or a MiG-3, or a I-16, or what you get jumped by them?" He shut up after that XD
All this happened while I was in a P-40 and it took SIX Yaks to kill me
@KPLBall Yea, I heard the P-40 was a tough plane. My J2M, Spitfire, and P-39 are really good against them for some reason, though. The P-38 would be if it wasn't a SLOWWW turner
Also my WT name is Vortex_29
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I dont use ma rudder
i just rely on the P-40s armor to protect me (works 99% of the time, also wut ur wt name?)
@KPLBall To be fair though, almost all of them were either getting blindsided while targeting someone else or just straight up getting 3+v1ed
The only time I've ever lost a pure 1v1, aside from numerous head-on-kamikaze attacks, was when I was still new.
I was fighting a Spitfire in my fairly new J2M2, we both stalled, and I was thinking "I'ma just roll a bit, he'll fall over and I can get behind him." I was so wrong. He literally just used the rudder and 180-noscoped me lol. I never forgot that, ever since that day I've used a lot of rudder in my turns, and even used that exact move in one case.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover NEVER DIED TO A MIG BEFORE (ON MY PART)
SUCK IT
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Exactly
@Christiant2 Everything. I-185, Yak-1, Yak-3, Yak-9, MiG-3, I-16, if it's a Rank III or below Soviet warplane, I've died to it at least once.
@KPLBall This is basically accurate
@KPLBall Lol. P-46/P-38 Main here. And true
@Christiant2 for me its always the I-185s
tho i use P-40 and LITERALLY RAM EVERYTHING
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I swear its always the HYPER MANEUVERABLE I-16'S KILLING ME. >:(
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Lol. Yaks or You mean one of These?
@Christiant2 The issue for me is that I always get 3v1ed, and it just happens to be the P-36 that always takes the kill lol
And of course, if it's not a P-36, it's something Soviet or German, mostly Soviet these days though (the Germans have sorta left me alone ever since I got the Trop. Spitfire for some reason)
