de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth
Well, I guess this is my third plane featured... XD
Yoyoyo child bois this is my entry to Mr. Ed’s Trainer Challenge!
Controls:
- VTOL down for SLATS (which are like leading edge flaps)
- Act 1to open doors
- 24% throttle for realistic crazing speed of 67mph (also the speed it levels off at)
- Top speed of 108mph (realistic top speed)
Stuff!
- 1:1 scale!
- Realistic performance, except for stall speed, but I can’t do much about that sadly. :/
- Almost exact with the blueprints!
- High detail, some slightly simplified (for example I reduced the amount of ribs on the wings, so I could rotate them and do stuff to them easier, and I also made the suspension simpler because I was starting to run out of time)
- I’d give myself a 10/10 on accuracy, and a 9 on detail lol.
- Speeds tested at 1000 feet, as the speeds are on Wikipedia XD
- I kinda uploaded this at a time where not many people are on in a few hours lol. Oh well.
Information:
The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth is a 1930s biplane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and built by the de Havilland Aircraft Company. It was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and many other operators as a primary trainer aircraft. In addition to the type's principal use for ab-initio training, the Second World War saw RAF Tiger Moth operating in other capacities, including maritime surveillance, defensive anti-invasion preparations, and even some aircraft that had been outfitted to function as armed light bombers.
The Tiger Moth remained in service with the RAF until it was succeeded and replaced by the de Havilland Chipmunk during the early 1950s. Many of the military surplus aircraft subsequently entered into civil operation. Many nations have used the Tiger Moth in both military and civil applications, and it remains in widespread use as a recreational aircraft in several different countries. It is still occasionally used as a primary training aircraft, particularly for those pilots wanting to gain experience before moving on to other tailwheel aircraft. Many Tiger Moths are now employed by various companies offering trial lesson experiences.
Accuracy:
Hey that was a pretty good description wasn’t it? XD

I didn’t use custom ailerons so I couldn’t change The deflection angle of both directions manually. But thanks! @temporaryaccount
I'd like to see a DH.83 Fox Moth recreated in this kind of detail.
