Focke-Wulf "Super Lorin"-ish interceptor
The Focke-Wulf Super Lorin was a proposed German jet interceptor project. Designed towards the end of World War II by engineer Heinz von Halen, the project remained only a factory design exercise, and never received an RLM airframe number before the surrender of Nazi Germany.
A paper project about which little is known –perfect for playing around a bit. The basic idea: a small, fast interceptor jet with cheap & simple engines. The plane would have been fitted with ramjets, which fit the bill nicely –but it would need a rocket engine for takeoff, since you need speed to get the ramjets going.
Takeoff instructions: throttle up to 100%... and nothing at all will happen. Then hit AG1 to ignite the rockets and hold on to your breeches; once you’re going fast enough the ramjets will kick in.
Armament is two 30 mm cannons which can be rotated 180 degrees to get annoying attackers off your six, and four Ruhrstahl X-4 (wire) guide air-to-air missiles.
Controls;
• AG1 Takeoff rockets
• AG2 Unlocks the nosewheel & activates a small engine. Don’t try to taxi using the rocket ;)
• AG3 Air brakes
• AG4 Lights
• AG5 Turns your cannons 180 degrees
• AG8 Turns off the engine smoke if you find it annoying
Just made this one for fun, hope it’s good for a few laughs :D

Nice jet .
@SimplyPlain you are probably right on that!
@Mustang51 Thanks! If they had built it, it probably wouldn't have flown at all. First hurdle would be to find a pilot crazy enough to try...
This is a damn good build. It looks exactly like the designs and probably flies better than it ever would have. Beautiful looking luft 46 build
@BogdanX the Tunnan is, after all, just a Me P.1101 :D
@BogdanX well, They cooked up lots of weird & wonderful planes in '45, that's for sure. But keep in mind that those engineers were also salesmen; they made the design look cool to get their customers interested. If the project had gone ahead, you can be sure the engines would have simply ended up underwing "for practical reasons". It's like the Geneva car show; manufacturers build great-looking (but impractical and expensive) concept cars, but by the time a model is developed for mass production it's barely recognizable and looks pretty much like every other car out there...
@BogdanX its replica
