The Lockheed U-2, nicknamed "Dragon Lady", is an American single-jet engine, ultra-high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by the United States Air Force and previously flown by the Central Intelligence Agency. Its top speed is approximatley 500mph. It is most well known for the U-2 inccident, when a U-2 was shot down over Soviet territory in 1960 on the first of May. The U-2 was commistioned in 1957.
