The Liberty Systems LS F-5 Minuteman is a high speed Gen. 4.5 multirole fighter that was designed alongside the F-4 Patriot as part of a competition for the Japanese Air Forces lightweight fighter contract. The performance of both aircraft proved desirable and the Japanese Air Force decided that both aircraft would go into production as their unique abilities justified the cost. It is armed with 2x wing root mounted gatling guns and flies very nicely while remaining agile. It can be config gured for a variety of missions and along with the Patriot, Freedom, and projects in development ensure the Japanese Air Force will be relavent for years to come.
