My goal was to make the most efficient aircraft I could muster, with a low wing load, high wing area, and good maneuverability. The split tail design ended up working really well for this goal. To take off, accelerate to ~101 mph without touching the elevators, *then* pull back on the stick. This craft has a flight ceiling that exceeds 30k feet if you're careful. And yes, I know it looks more like a swift than an albatross. But it has huge wings, so...
