The fact that this commentary session become a discussion about Verstappen and Senna is unbelievable.
@FWMotorCompany sounds good to me, it’s your call
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 @CalebRepublic yeah this conversation is legal.
But i prefer to move this to a forum, what do you guys think?
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 they were shifting and pressing a clutch though, modern ones only need a clutch for getting into first gear. Heal toe shifting while going 200kph through a corner is quite difficult. I would rather press a button with my thumb
@FWMotorCompany it’s not just those, buttons (also as long as the owner of the post (you) is fine with it this convo is lawful)
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 the same buttons that change the brake balance and differential to make a better turn? Yeah i know, old cars don't have this technology to help in high and slow speed turns. That's another point with some weakness.
I don't think this conversation follow the community rules
@CalebRepublic while all the points you made are valid, you also have to remember that modern ones are a lot more complex, back then they weren’t pressing buttons and moving dials mid-corner like they are today (also I feel obligated to mention that I didn’t find F1 through DTS)
@FWMotorCompany that is also true, but there are still some things that can be determined
@SPMistatopi obviously, I’m talking about the GOAT of the mortals
@SPMistatopi if Latifi didn't crashed in Abu Dhabi 2021, Verstappen would never win agaisnt Hamilton that year. So Goatifi > Verstappen
@CalebRepublic that's the point, different cars and different rivals, in his era hes was a true legend, today Verstappen is a legend too for taking the RB21 (maybe the 4° best of the grid) holding 2 potential world championship winners to the pole and secure a record in Suzuka beating 2 McLaren's (the 1° best of the grid), thing that Ayrton did too in Lotus and McLaren. They also had the most dominanting cars in history, so the numbers are close.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 In my opinion, since records that Senna set are just now being broken, Senna was able to set these records in a car that was much worse and a lot more dangerous than our modern machines of grace and power. I understand that Senna was also driving against cars of the same class, it just seems to me like it is harder to do hard work with a worse vehicle. But that may also be me just being nostalgic for the days of old when Formula One was not something that everybody knew and talked about. Now everybody and their grandma is following the races.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 wrong, the goat is goatifi and logan sargoat
should've posted in may 1st to honor the 31 years of his death
@SPTNR give me your opinion:
919 Hybrid Evo
Or
F2004
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 they drived different type of cars, one drived semi-auto transmission cars, other drived manual cars with, also different driving style according to the car. Modern F1 require smooth driving style, 1980-90 cars was possible to take it agressive due the hardest tyres. The conclusion is: Whe can't see who's better. If both of then drive the same car that is compatible with Senna and Verstappen style, whe will never know.
This will never happen.
@CalebRepublic ok, so while I personally was not around to watch senna, and I have no doubt that he is one of the greatest of all time, but people who have watched both have said that max is better than senna, not to mention, nikki lauda himself said that he was the "talent of a century"
@CalebRepublic man i'm dead after this
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 my fears have been realized... a modern F1 watcher
@CalebRepublic Max Verstappen
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 who is better in ur opinion then?
@SuperSuperTheSylph I beg to differ
@SuperSuperTheSylph fr
Senna the goat🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
