Pummeler Fighter
"I remember the first time I flew this. This airplane was fast, and it kept its speed well. I then put this thing into crazy loops and turns, which it responded well. Immediately, I felt as if this machine was a part me, and many pilots who flew it can certainly attest to that. It had the right combination of finesse and ruggedness that endeared the ace and the ground crew."
Sgt. Wilson, fighter ace, 14 kills
A highly successful design (20,000+ machines), it was the staple of the Pilotmario Air Force during the First Olympian War. During the conflict, they engaged the faster and smaller Athena. The Pummeler was able to compete well with its superior firepower and maneuverability, and was a far more durable machine. This and superior tactics and radios allowed the Pummeler to come on top.
Though it was a decent fighter, it was an even better ground attack aircraft. In one instance, the 14th Infantry Regiment were surrounded by three Olympian armored divisions. Rocket-armed Pummelers from the 21st Fighter Group supported them, causing much chaos and forcing them to halt long enough for reinforcements to arrive. It was replaced as a fighter by the Hawk and as a reconnaissance aircraft by the Dart Recce, but still serve as ground attack aircraft. As of 2011, Barracuda Aircraft Group use an unarmed Pummeler as a chase plane during the Renegade's flight trials.
