This aircraft developed and tested by well-known aircraft devloper Howard Hughes was meant to be a high altitude, high speed recon plane, during flight it was performing well until one of the engines malfunctioned and Hughes crashed in Beverly Hills, California, Hughes only built one but a replica was created and flown in 1947
