Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Maus E100

4,509 Awesomeplanes  8.9 years ago

(Wikipedia) The Panzerkampfwagen E-100 was a German super-heavy tank design developed near the end of World War II. It was to also be the basis for a heavy artillery system, an anti-aircraft vehicle, and a heavy tank destroyer. However, the development of these last was never started due to the end of World War II, by which time only the E-100's chassis was partially completed. It was shipped to the United Kingdom for testing, and was later scrapped.

Driving instructions: Pick forwards and reverse with the VTOL slider, and then throttle up. Steering is yaw, sadly, the throttle needs to be active and the tank to be moving to turn. The turret is traversed with roll. There was an operational gun elevation mechanisim, but for somereason, it stopped working and I can't fix it. Please note this is an old vehicle, and that is why there is no new parts on it. Edit, you need to work the VTOL slider a little bit to get it moving. Enjoy

The swastika is the best part, it gives the tank an easy identification!

@vamsam the Germans made a series of tanks getting progressively bigger called the "E" series (E5, E10, E25, E50, E75, and E100), and this would have been the biggest of them. The names tiger and Maus are in there because the tank would have used engine components from the tiger tanks and the turret from the Maus. Does that help a little?

Sorry to jump in on the topic, but I believe a Swastika does not symbolize Germany or their weaponry in any means. It was only the symbol of the Nazi Party. The Iron Cross is the official German military insignia, and is still being used to this date.

Next time please be more careful, people can get offended from this particular topic.

@TheColonel thank you for actually not complaining about it, and yes, I put it in a a way of saying "this is a nazi German tank", not "hey, look at me, I love nazi ideas!". @XVIindustries seriously, quit complaining, even going onto different websites and looking around, the swastika was originally a sign of good luck, the nazis had put it on their flag as a symbol of the mission of the struggle for the victory of the Aryan man, and the victory of the idea of creative work

@XVIindustries and @AlphaOneIndustries could you to quit bitching, when I make vehicles from different countries, I'm going to put some sort of symbols that it's related to from the time it was created. Ex. Americans get a blue star, Russians a hammer and sickle

@XVIindustries like I said, it's an old creation, and I was basing it off of WoT's E-100, which looked like that, but if your that picky, I can change it. I also put the swastika in the background just to show that it's a German WWII tank

The Germans were going to use the maus turret and the tiger hull, that is why, tiger-maus the production variant would have used the maus turret as it was thought to be cheaper to use the same turret as the maus seeing as it was the correct size and weight and was being manufactured at the same time, also because Germany was low on resources @JacobHardy64
