Focke-Wulf Ta-156 Wespe
32.3k CRJ900Pilot
3.9 years ago
Happy Holidays? 30k build? 4 year build? I'm not quite sure; I'm late to all of them. Anyway, here is my entry for BogdanX's Fork Devils challenge
Features
- Fictional design based on the TA-154
- Accurate performance and plausible design
- 4 Wrf.GR.21 anti-bomber "rockets"
- Hard hitting armament, including 20 and 30 mm cannons, along with 7.92 mm machine guns
- Cockpit with artificial horizon, turn coordinator, rate-of-climb indicator, and ammo gauge
- Some spinny propeller hubs
- Squishy landing gear
Controls
- AG1-6: N/A
- AG7: Jettison rocket tubes
- AG8: Toggle lights
- VTOL down: Flaps
Pilots Notes and Tips
- Rotate at 120 mph with half flaps
- Loss of control speed is about 100 mph
- Land at about 110-120 mph with full flaps
Rocket Operation
- Approach target from behind, and be prepared by having
Wrf.GR.21
selected. It's recommended to do so at full speed, as anything lower will cause the rockets to fall short. - Fire between 0.7 - 0.75 miles. In the cockpit, a green light will turn on when in this range
- Practice makes perfect: It may take a few tries to get a hit, but I made the blast radius large so it shouldn't be too hard
- Keep in mind that in real life, these rockets were intended to be used against large, slow formations of bombers. I recommend using Weaverfish's AI Fortress Formation as targets, but feel free to try it against other bombers
Cool Funky tree stuff
- Nose wheel folds up, and is locked in place until extended again
- Belly guns sequenced with gear, so you can't blow yourself up
- Cowl flaps that deploy under 170 mph and over 80% throttle
- Sequenced gear and gear doors
- Target light that gauges distance

@CRJ900Pilot can i use the cannons on enemy aircraft like the ww2 dogfight?
Rip, I’ll fix it @Chancey21
Ahem
Challenge)make the beechcraft 1900d and 1900c with a full interior with seating(don't worry it's a small plane)also to save u time just plain white,
Thank you very much! I appreciate it @EpicPigster1
gorgeous, this is absolutely incredible
@CRJ900Pilot they must have made a mistake but it's ok, it works and it's the only thing that matters
ahh finally after a lnog 5ime jour back maybe you dont know me but i really like all of your build
True. In warthunder, the TA-154 had both props spinning the same direction, so I just copied that. But thanks for the feedback and support! @ollielebananiaCFSP
this plane looks so nice, amazing job ! (and you used my technic for nose spiral nose cones that cool :)) ) Also, your plane has two engines so making an anti-torque wasn't necessary, you could just have made the two cones not spining in the same way, like in real life. Other than that the plane flys great, the details make it look realistic and I'm not being objective because I love the Ta 154
No probs!@CRJ900Pilot
@CRJ900Pilot Of course!
Thank you very much! @Hedero @LoafOfBread @bossboy678905
everybody has gotten soo good
Looks sooo godo!
Awww man beautiful aircraft! I also love the colorscheme you put on it!@CRJ900Pilot
Thank you very much, @EternalDarkness I appreciate it!
I can.
@EternalDarkness
Could you make this a successor of this challenge please?
