Pfalz D.IIIa ''Max Holtzem'' VR
124k AWESOMENESS360
2.9 years ago
Exactly the same as my previous Pfalz D.IIIa, except it has a very improved flight model, and it should be VR-Friendly, although I can’t exactly confirm this since I don’t have VR. This craft is yet to be curated, will update if/when I notice that it is or isn’t. Do not feel obligated to upvote this, if you want to anyway, you may upvote it’s predecessor.
Edit: ok nevermind successor system is being shite so here’s the previous Pfalz D.IIIa

@AndrewGarrison. So... Most of VR planes, you curate them?
@AndrewGarrison ah ok, I’ll update the XML again
@AWESOMENESS360 Yes, it's working now and this craft is now curated. The only thing now is the throttle cylinder grip is backward and you can see that in the hand preview in the designer. Not a big deal at all, but something to keep in mind for future VR builds. Thanks for updating the XML. I'm glad to be able to fly it now in VR. It's an awesome airplane!
@AndrewGarrison ok so I think I updated the XML correctly, is it working now?
@AndrewGarrison ohhhhhh ok that’s makes sense. I’ll get to working on that!
Beautiful craft and I would love to curate but none of the controls can be grabbed in VR. In order to make a custom control grabbable in VR, you need to use Joystick Base part instead of rotators. You can basically swap out your current rotators for Joystick Base parts and just set the input rotation axes to what you want them to control. Also, for the yoke, it might be good to use the Cylinder Grips where you want the player's hands to grip.
If you need any help, just let me know. I'd love to help get this awesome airplane ready for VR.
@V aight, thanks!
Im currently busy at the moment, but ill pass it off to the curator team.
@V is this VR Friendly? Thanks in advance!
