This was my successful attempt to create a commercial autogyro (basicaly a reproduction of the rotodyne). It's pretty hard to fly but when you know how to control it you will love how smooth it can fly. the controls are simple: Throttle up to activate the rotor, then trim up (take the trim lever to 50 or75%)to take-off vertically, when you are at a good altitude press 1 to activate the engines and to switch to airplane mode take the trim lever to 25 or 40%. To land you have to take throttle to 0 and press 1 to deactivate the engines, then you just have to reduce speed and land vertically using the trim lever.
