The "original" jeep was created by the company Willys during WW2 for a vehicle used in transportation and getting around areas, with some were added mounted weaponry. Ford also made jeeps for WW2, but Willys was more known. After the war, they were soon inspired to make the Civilian Jeep, or commonly known as CJ.
