The Cormack F.6 is a single-seat fighter during the First and Second Phase of the Late Crusades (World War II - Korean War era to be exact). Known by Fabellans as "Bel" during the 1960s, she performed an outstanding combat performance during the First and Second phase missions against enemy forces.
Bel was designed by Eugene Cormack Sr. and his colleagues and she was deemed to be a fighter aircraft at first - however, the role for being deemed to be an interceptor. Design flaws were being introduced as the production for Bel has increased (from A1 to B5 variants), but she became better when the C variant rolled out, which is improvement among the first two. By 1948, she became a fighter-bomber primarily for close air support.
She was retired by 1971 to make way for jet fighters in service.
Development
During the First Phase of the Late Crusades, air defense from the land was their problem because of the Axis being able to outsmart their abilities. West Fabella, on the brink of losing defense abilities, sought help from the Cormack family. Among them was Sir Eugene T. Cormack Sr., an air defense intellect and founder of Cormack Aerospace. They, along with Bragaut were asked to build an interceptor to knock down airborne opponents in an engagement. When the Armed Cross Treaty (that time were the Allied forces) was formed in 1932, they start to expand their forces further against the Axis powers.
Just as Bragaut was developing their own fighter, Cormack did the same - It was no competition; they were designed to outrun Satanist forces. Cormack designed the XF.6, which served as a prototype for the F.6. She at first was powered by the Malcolm A6 engine, which in turn, would not be fit for long use in all variants. When the XF.6 entered service in 1935, her combat skills were proven great - yet maneuverability has to be counted on. This is why newer variants until the F.6C5 were getting improvements.
Design and Characteristics
The F.6 is a single-engine low wing monoplane with the tricycle landing gear. As shown here is the C variant, with an improved modern-looking cockpit canopy. Aerodynamics were also improved as well as power with the Poyasakai Kaze 23T engine, and turn time is significantly improved than the A and B variants.
The 23mm Gaurav-23 cannon was the choice for strafing targets but can be used against an aircraft. It delivers a good and reasonable fire rate, but can strafe against targets as usual with HE/AP shells.
F.6C2
The second revision of the C variant. Minor changes were done with the internals, and a new engine is installed.
Armament
3x 23mm Gaurav Ga-23-1 autocannon (wing and nose mounted)
2x 12.7mm Treilocke TLck-12
Controls
SP controls as usual. AG4 for landing mode. The rest has no AG assigned.
Thanks to Quackie for the engines and the 23mm cannons. As always, see you on my next build, so stay safe and God bless you all.
Aim high, comrades! Nipah~
