Santoni S5 Modello 1 "Santa Grazia"

30.1k Rondine  4.3 years ago

The Santoni S5 was a Fighter bomber used by the Italian "Aereonautica Militare" Stationed in Egypt colonies. (the sand like color)

It carried 6 fast shooting "Beretta R4" Rockets (ag1) 2 bombs 25,and 2 7.62 mm Beretta 400 (Just like the S4)

It was nicknamed "Santa Grazia" because the Industries of Santoni were near a Monaster, Santa Grazia. The Pilots, instead, called it the Buffman, it had a climb rate that almost no other planes had (30° of climbrate).

The main flaw was its speed, for this, The ICEAF (ITALIAN COLONIES in EGYPT's AIR FORCE, Forza Aerea delle Colonie Italiane in Egitto) faced great loss for it, but don't worry, With the new Santoni S5 Modello 2,the speed flaw was resolved using a lighter frame and a more powerful engine.
