This was built by B.N. Yurjev a leading helicopter designer in Russia as a point defense fighter to defend airstrips agianst bomber attacks, though ti never got beyond the design stage obviously Yurjev was on the right track becuase this design would remerge in America as the Convair XFV-1 "Pogo"
