Vought F4U Corsair v1.0

328k SpiritusRaptor  6.9 years ago

Credit to Weaverfish for his gunsight which I have adapted with a leading sight indicator.

AG1 to fold wings.
AG2 to close canopy.
AG3 to drop fuel tank.
AG4 to drop bombs.
AG5 to fire rockets.
AG7 for chute (as arrestor hook doesn't really work).
VTOL up for flaps, plus TRIM for trim.

Wheel chocks are provided if starting on a carrier to stop it rolling off the back.

For carrier landings:
- Throttle around 20%, gear down and flaps full.
- Approach carrier at around 100 ft / 100 mph.
- Cut power at the last moment.
- For landing on USS Tiny use the chute to slow down.

A few minor fixes on this version:

the aceleration is not realistic but i still love this airplane
edit: the trim and flaps are inverted and i dont know how to fix it

When decelerating rapidly, the propeller will be damaged, but its maneuverability and speed are among the best.

I believe this is the best Vought F4U Corsair on the site so far. Everything works magnificently and it flies just as perfect.

Idk about the official versions of the F4U but, i have a plastic model with three propellers, not four. But as i said, idk about the official versions. Anyway, great job, as always!
